On May 10, 1938 the third of a trio of sons was born to Toney LaGrone and Katie Mae Akins. His given name was Levester. Levester was educated in Hope, AR at Hopewell Elementary, Yerger Middle and High School. While attending Yerger Middle School he met his future wife, JoAnn Williams.

On January 19, 1958, Levester and JoAnn began their life's journey. Sixty-one years later they were still together. To this union three daughters were born- Jennifer Rene, Yvonne Mechile and Crystalon Denise.

On Sunday, March 24, 2019 God called Levester home. Levester was preceded in death by his parents Toney and Katie Mae LaGrone, brothers Sylvester and Arvester, grandson Brobeggar Willis and great granddaughter Tehya Fisher.

Levester leaves to cherish his memory wife JoAnn, daughters Jennifer, Yvonne and Crystalon. Grandchildren, Tekisha Rathod (Jermane) LaChelle Wells (Jay) David McIntye (Sydney), Jarrell McIntye (Kelsey), Levester Daniels (Tracy), Dondre' Daniels and Yama Willis. Great grandchildren Anthony Fisher II, Leilani Wells, Mateo Wells-Martinez, Jarrell McIntye, Maya Nichole, David McIntye II, Lamorisheana Jackson, Marquan Taylor, Duckie Taylor and Keziah Willis. Nephews Roderick, Andre, Freddie, Glenn, Edward, Victor and Tony LaGrone, and one niece Lisha Williams. Lifelong friend Willie Saulters and a host of friends and relatives.

Service of Memory for Mr. LaGrone will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 12 Noon in the Covenant Family Church in Tulsa.  The Pastor, Stephen Rathod, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Floral Haven Cemetery.
