On July 4, 1955 a precious bundle of joy was delivered to Rosie L. Oliver and Ezekiel Mack in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from high school. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marines. He received an honorable discharge from his service to the country. He later received an Associates Degree from Tulsa Junior College. He marred Arlene Lacy in 1978, and to this union two children were born: LaVera, and Lacola, as well as four step-children: John, Kenneth, Teshia, and Quante, and nine grandchildren. Later he had two more children: Lewis Martinez, Jr., and a daughter, Sylvia.
Later, he married Loretta Miles on August 4, 2009, and she faithfully stood by his side as he went through his illness. He also leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Rosie L. Chinneth, seven sisters: Rose Brown, Willia Woods, Lottie Mosely, Toni Burch, Debra Mosely, Maxine Billingslea, and Crystal Gale, and one uncle, Jean Mack, two aunts: Arlene Mack, Loretta Mack, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His father, Ezekiel Mack, brothers Dennis and Marcus, and one grandson Ruben Jr., preceded him in death.
"No looking back. I press toward the goal to the prize which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
