Lillian Ruth Dickenson was born on September 23, 1933 to Mary and Thomas Payton in Grayson, Oklahoma. She was one of eleven children. Lillian was a licensed beautician and also sold Avon. She loved arts and crafts, and knitted several hats for others. From several trips to Bethel in New York, to cruises and train rides, she loved to travel. Her youngest sister introduced her to the truth and Jehovah's wonderful purpose for mankind. She loved to talk to people about the time when death will be a thing of the past (Rev. 21:3-4), and served as a regular pioneer for over 20 years. Lillian passed on May 12, 2013 but will live in Jehovah's memory until her resurrection.
Remaining to mourn her passing, two sisters: Samantha Porter, Okmulgee, OK., and Mary Ella Douglas, Tulsa, OK., two sons: Chelsye and Michael, Tulsa, OK., one daughter, Sharyl Witherspoon, Oklahoma City, OK., grandchildren: Chelsye, Dickenson, Jr., Michael Dickenson, Jr., Tulsa, OK., Travis Jr., and Trever Witherspoon, Oklahoma City, OK., along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large spiritual family.
A Memorial Will be held for Ms. Lillian R. Dickenson on Saturday May 25, 2013 at 10AM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses-Rolling Oaks Congregation located at 4747 S. Vancouver in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Flower Arrangements can be forwarded the funeral home in Tulsa on Thursday & Friday.
