On December 29, 1925 in Leonard, Oklahoma, a baby girl was born to Sidney and Addie Jordan. Lillie was the fourth child bon of ten siblings. Lillie was raised in Snake Creek, Oklahoma. There she attended school at W.T. Vernon. In the following years, she met the love of her life, Nathaniel Lonnie Lewis. They later married in May of 1943. From this union five beautiful children were born; three girls: Kay Edna, Patricia Ann, and Linda Joyce, two boys: Michael Douglas, and Lonnie Dale. Lillie obeyed the gospel in 1960 at the North Peoria Church of Christ. During those years she and her husband labored at the Red Bird Church of Christ in Red Bird, Oklahoma until his death in February 1982. Later she married Climmie Gilbert until his death in 1986. She continued to be a faithful member of North Peoria Church of Christ.

Our mother was a loving person who loved the Lord. She enjoyed talking to others about Christ. She was full of life. She was very giving and kept you laughing.

Lillie is preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Addie Jordan, husbands Lonnie Lewis and Climmie Gilbert, son Lonnie Dale Lewis, brothers Leroy Jordan and L.C. Jordan, sisters Rosabeth Johnson, Dorothy Brooks, Marie Hawkins, and Shirley Hall, and brother in-law Vernon Billups.

She is survived by her brother Charles Sidney Jordan, sisters Mattie L. Billups and Kaffie (Bruce) Walker, children: Kay E. (Dennis) Moore, Patricia Ann (Dillard) Craven, Linda J. Lewis, and son Michael D. Lewis, daughter in-law Georgia Lewis, 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Services for Lillie Bell Gilbert will be Saturday February 21, 2015 at 1PM at North Peoria Church of Christ in Tulsa.

Friends may visit Ms. Gilbert on Friday from 12Noon until 7PM in Tulsa.
