Obituary

On September 13, 1940 in Taft, Oklahoma a baby girl was born to Rita Thompson Walker and Manuel Barnes. They named her Lillie Mae, after her grandmother. As she weaved her way through life being laid back and soft spoken she would tough the hearts of many.

Lillie Mae would begin her next phase of life when she united in Holy Matrimony with Bruce G. Williams. This new union was the foundation of hopes, aspirations, joy and sorrow and this legacy will live on from generation to generation.

As God loves to give out blessings this union would receive nine amazing children that were raised to understand the importance of God, love, and family. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized in the Holy Name. Being a devoted Christian she united with the Bibleway Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Wesley Gamble who taught her to remain faithful in the Lord.

On Thursday, March 27, 2014, Lillie Mae entered the last phase of her journey. She walked of this world into the Heavenly gates where she was greeted by her father Manuel, husband, Bruce, grandson, Larry Jr., and brother, Ryder. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Larry (Belle), Wanda, Moses, Renee (Bradford Sr.), Cleveland (Tonya), Kimberly (Glen), Bruce (Lisa), Evette (Ken), and D'Angelo, grandchildren: Ciara, Donnesha (Derrick), Mario (Cindy), Bradford Jr., Yolanda, Cleveland Jr., Aaron, CleAngelo, Reon, Michael, JaQuese, LaQuesha (Antonio Sr.), D'Andra, Tigeana, Taylor, Jasmine, Marrico, Ariel, Kennedhi, and Kenneth.
