A beautiful, baby girl was born on November 9, 1949 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Jimmie Lee [Mobley] and Oscar W. Dixon. She was the 3rd of 14 children born into the family and they named her Linda Kay.

Linda grew up in Okmulgee, where she attended Okmulgee Public Schools. She was a proud graduate of Historic Dunbar High School with the Class of 1968.

She met Frank Brown and they moved to Michigan in 1970, where their son, Christopher Henry Brown was born. She attended cosmotolgy school and later, she became saved at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Linda enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, birthday parties, shopping and going to Sunday service.

Later in life, she married Garland A. Bryant and they remained married until the Lord called her home on Sunday, September 27, 2020. She was preceded in death byher father, Oscar Dixon,  two brothers and a sister.

She leaves to lament her death; her son, Christopher H. Brown, of Inster, Michigan; two grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Edwards {Reggie], of Michigan and Alfred Porter, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; eight brothers, Doug Dixon, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Delroe Dixon [Pat], Elroe Dixon, Okmulgee, Elton Dixon, Okmulgee, Delton Dixon [Dee], Michigan, Willie Dixon [Ann], Texas, Alvin Dixon [Michelle] and Michael Dison, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; and a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Her Service of Memory will be shared on Saturday morning, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Okmulgee.  The Pastor, Reverend Judson Fields will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.
