Linda Kathleen Penn, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on July 24th, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas, to Emerson Penn and Isabell (Pettie) Penn.
Linda was the fifth of six girls welcomed into a total of 10 children. Linda was always the quiet one.
Linda attended school at Remington Elementary, Clinton Jr. High, and graduated from Daniel Webster in the Class of 1977. Linda then went to work at Dickson Goodman Furniture Company. St. John's Hospital, as a housekeeper until her health began to decline. She loved to babysit her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Linda accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church in South Haven. Later, she joined New Joy Fellowship where she loved to sing in the choir. Linda's favorite song is, "I'm Still Holding On." Linda departed her journey on October 12th, 2023, after battling her illness for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father, Emerson Penn; mother, Isabell Penn; grandparents; grandmother, Fellow Pettie, whom she shared a special bond with; brother, Charles Simmons; Brother-in-law, Granville Taylor Sr; Nephews, Khalid Muse, Artie Burton IV; several aunts and uncles.
She leaves to mourn her passing a son, Adrian Crawford; daughter, Stephanie Reynolds (Katero); Grandchildren, Breanna, Tyron, Tyrin, Katero Jr. and King; granddaughter, Kitana; Four brothers, Charles Penn, Emerson Penn Jr. (Catrina), Kenneth Penn (Denise), Keith Penn; Sisters, Star Griffin (Grant), Doris Taylor, Lillian Robateau (Bruce), Jacqueline Penn, and Anita Penn; a host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Family and Friends.
Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a sweet soul. She will always be remembered for her loving spirit and beautiful smile. A strong woman of faith in God who touched the hearts of many.
Ms. Linda Kathleen Hutton, at the age of 65, Transitioned to Eternal Rest on Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Okmulgee.
The Hour of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at New Joy Fellowship in Tulsa.
You may visit her as she slumbers in sweet repose on Friday, October 20, 2023 in the All Faiths Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors located in Tulsa.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
