Linda Gail Matthews was born on September 19, 1968, in Coldwater, Mississippi, to the late James Louis Matthews and Gladys Matthews. She was the youngest child of ten. She attended school and graduated from McLain High School in 1986.

Linda took great pleasure in cooking, laughing, and talking on the phone with her family. Linda's passions were her children, granddaughter, and family.

Linda departed her life on August 14, 2020, while surrounded by family.

She was proceeded in death by both parents, James Louis and Gladys Matthews; sister, Betty Ann Miller; and a brother, Melvin Charles Matthews.

Linda leaves to treasure her memories: sons, Corey and Deven Matthews both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Brittney Matthews of Tulsa, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Breonna Matthews of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six sisters, Zelma (Leonard) Tate, Geraldine Boyd, Annie (James) Laskey, and Alice Matthews all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joe Ann Chandler of Senatobia, Mississippi, and Helen Matthews of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Louis (Velma) Matthews of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Steve (Nikie) Wilkin of Nesbit, Mississippi; her significant other of 14 years, Deeday Howell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a special friend, Yolonda Beatty; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services for Ms. Matthews have been scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the All Faiths Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors in Tulsa.
