On September 30, 1962, the flowers, Aster, were in full bloom, a
blossom of a sapphire, when an Angel was born to Robert Williams and
Marcia Watkins McClarty. She was given the name Lisa Dianne Williams.
She began her life full of smiles and laughter.
Lisa started school at Red Robin Kindergarten and moved on to Franklin
Elementary school, where she earned many awards in academics and
citizenship. She made many friends there, as well as joining the
Brownie troop under the leadership of Mrs. Whitaker. During this time,
integration came into effect and Lisa was bused to the east side to
Houston Elementary. After finishing the fourth grade, the family moved
to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, she attended Lafollette Elementary.
In 1974, the family returned to Muskogee, where she started school at
West Junior High School. She joined the pep squad during this time.
Lisa was found to be quite a sociable, intellectual soul, loving to
make friends. She didn't care who you were. Lisa graduated from James
Madison High School in Milwaukee with the Class of 1980.
After graduation from High School, Lisa returned to Muskogee to enter
the work force. She met William Griffin and from this union, a
daughter was born. She returned to Milwaukee to be with her mother.
When the family returned to Muskogee, she began working at Corning
Glass, where she met and later married Hodges Brooks. From this union,
two daughters were born. This marriage was later dissolved. After
Corning closed down, she began working at Dillard's Department Store,
then to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at Eddie Warrior in
Taft, Oklahoma. She wanted something better, as far as employment and
returned to Milwaukee with her three daughters. She met and married
Delano White and from this union, four children were born. this
marriage was later dissolved. Keeping her faith with God, she was an
active member of Praise Fellowship Church of God in Christ, under the
leadership of Pastor Robert Johnson. She said this was her life
because God never hurt you or let you down. She worked at the Brady
Corporation in Milwaukee for 14 years until her death.
In her 50th year, Lisa Dianne dozed into the tranquil peace of eternal
slumber. She was met at Heaven's Pearly Gates with open, loving arms
by her grandparents, Elijah and Lula M. Watkins, Robert Williams, Sr. and
