Lloyd James Cohen was born on January 12, 1930 to Elsie and Cecil Cohen, of Nuyaka, Oklahoma. He was their only child. He grew up in Nuyaka, and attended Rosenwald School, west of Henryetta, Oklahoma, graduating with the class of 1950.

Lloyd united in marriage to Betty Jean Jones on January 12, 1951. To this union, two children were born. He worked in the Construction industry and Farming throughout his lifetime. He loved the farm and being with family.

After learning the truth from the Bible, Lloyd made a dedication to Jehovah and was baptized in 1971.

Lloyd passed from this life on Sunday, February 25, 2007 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James Leon Cohen.

He is survived by two children; Lloyd Cohen, Jr., and wife, Yolanda and Lynn Elam and husband, Danny; a daughter-in-law, Pauletta Cohen; six grandchildren, Alicia Cohen-Stewart, Sharmekia Grey, Kimberly Cohen, Tsai-chin Harrison, Stassa Joseph and Lloyd Cohen, III; twelve great-grandchildren, Brandon, Keena, Keon, Amaya, Jene', Anthony, A'Kiyah, Whitley, Christopher, Christin and Sydnee; along with a host of relatives and very special friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, from 12 Noon to 6 PM at the funeral home in Okmulgee and on Friday, from 10 AM until service time, at the funeral home, also. The casket will not be present at the memorial service.

Cremation will follow the visitation at the funeral home.
