Obituary
Mr. Lloyd Tarkington, age 74 and a resident of Okmulgee, passed away on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 in a Tulsa hospital.
Mr. Tarkington was born in Okmulgee, the son of Richard and Letha [Andrew] Tarkington. He grew up in Okmulgee and attended school here.
He worked for American St. Gobain Glass Company, City of Okmulgee and also in the Construction Industry.
Mr. Tarkington was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
He leaves to lament his passing; his devoted wife, Mary Tarkington, of the home in Okmulgee; a son, Lenard Tarkington, Tulsa, OK; 2 grandchildren; along with other relatives and many friends.
The Service of Remembrance will be on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church-Central. Reverend P. W. Jackson, Sr., Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. You may visit Mr. Tarkington, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
