Obituary

On January 25, 1945, Loretta Foster was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the sixth child born to Earnest and Lillie Mae [Thompson] Foster, Sr.

Affectionately known as "Duz," Loretta accepted the LORD at an early age and was a member of the Church of Christ for many years.  She graduated from the Historic Dunbar High School with the Class of 1963 and later attended Langston University, where she met the love of her life, Olen McFalls.  Their loving union was blessed with five children.

Mrs. McFalls worked at Ball Brothers Corporation, Anchor Glass and as a Home Health Care Provider.  Home Health Care was her true calling, for she grew fond of many of the elders she cared for.  Her passion to serve through caring was a gift she professed faithfully.

She was the President of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 103, where she organized events in Okmulgee for the youth and self-care.  In 1994, she hosted a Youth Seminar for all of the children in Okmulgee [Youth, Where are Your Priorities].  Loretta always believed in helping children find their purpose by providing them with ways to achieve their goals.

On Saturday morning, September 17, 2022, Loretta Foster McFalls, a faithful servant of 77 years, was summoned by the Master to rest in Heaven.  Family members who preceded her in death and waited lovingly on her arrival; her parents, Earnest and Lillie Mae Thompson Foster, Sr., her grandson, Bryant McFalls; her granddaughter Alicia Smith and her siblings, John Luther Foster, Armetta Tunley, Nadier [Dale] Foster and Violetta Nunley.

She leaves in God's care to cherish her memory;  her husband, Olen McFalls, of the home in Okmulgee;  her beloved children, Angela McFalls [Terry], Midwest City, Quanton Bird [Tony], Oklahoma City, Natasha McFalls [Greg], Oklahoma City, Amy Johnson [Markeith], Okmulgee, Robert McFalls [Amber], Brandon McFalls [Whitley], and a loving Brother, Earnest Foster, Jr. [Gladys], Southfield, Michigan;  her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan McFalls, [Regina], of Hawaii, Lenetta Smith of MidWest City, Anthony Bird, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Sebian McFalls [Bailey] of Mounds, Madisyn McFalls of Oklahoma City, Jayla Johnson [Larry] of Dallas, Texas, Jaydon Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee, Robert McFalls, Jr., Karter Grace McFalls and Kodi McFalls all from Okmulgee; she also leaves to mourn two brother-in-laws Custer McFalls (Maxine) of Ada, Earlie McFalls of Okmulgee, and one sister-in-law Gladys Willis (Stephen) of Houston, Texas and her good and faithful pet Pepper, along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In honoring her requests, after private moments with family and cremation, her ashes will be placed with her parents in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.   She lived, she loved and now she rests with the Ancestors in Heaven.
