Obituary

Mrs. Lottie Ruth Chilliest, after 94 years with us, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, March 22, 2019 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Lottie Ruth Neale was the first of eight children; born on July 20, 1924 to the late James MacArthur and Elzora Roxie (Tillman) Neale, at the town of Bigelow, Arkansas. She was affectionately called Baby Ruth and Mama Lottie by everyone who knew and loved her. She attended school also at Bigelow, Arkansas. She married George Chilliest on August 29, 1960.
Baby Ruth or Mama Lottie became a Believer of the Lord Jesus Christ from an early age. She had a testimony and legacy that would be celebrated for a long time. She was an active and faithful member of the House of Deliverance church, where she called home. Her contribution of love, devotion and motherhood was an added inspiration; and a lasting example to everyone who knew her. House of Deliverance Church is still pastored by her son Reverend Wayne and First Lady, Jessie Neale to this day. Mama Lottie invested 20 good years of her life in dedicated service as a cook, at the Hollingsworth Headstart in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she later retired with distinction in 1986, and relocated to Summit, Oklahoma.
She loved cooking, sewing and the baking of carrot and pound cakes for her family.  Some of the favorite memories with mama as a child was spending time together visiting downtown Little Rock, Arkansas; riding the city bus together, riding in more than one bus, holding hands and walking down the sidewalk to different stores - Much love. The evidence of her well-lived life can be seen in the unwavering love for her family, her duty to community, and the herald of a long family line of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; which is the evidence of an envious rich full life. The Bible says: "Lo, Children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward" Psalms 127:3. Mama Lottie was obviously a richly blessed woman by this scripture, and she will be very dearly missed. She has gloriously graduated to her eternal home in heaven on Friday morning, March the 22nd, 2019. There was undoubtedly a very great celebration in heaven as our Lord God welcomed her home, and today we celebrate her life and memorialize her legacy. Mama Lottie was the daughter of a great family, an amazing sister, and a very dear mother to all of her children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Chilliest, 2 brothers; Rev. Luther and Yvon Neale, 4 sisters; Eloise Neale Mason, Lafaye Neale Richardson, Cordelia and Ollie Neale, granddaughter; Redelia L. Craig, great-grandsons; Daniel Washington Jr and Tylan Lee
She leaves behind those who cherish her memories such as her sister, Berthal Neale, her children: Rev. Edna Mack Pettigrew (Calvin) of Little Rock Arkansas, Sr. Pastor Wayne Neale (Jessie) of Summit, Oklahoma, Assistant Pastor Gail Neale Thompson (Leroy) of Summit, Oklahoma, Alvin Neale (Wanda Fayee) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Wanda Chilliest, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Sherry Pettigrew (Albert) of Summit, Oklahoma and Ricardo Chilliest (Lois) also of Summit, Oklahoma. Additionally, she is also hailed by 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and church family.
