Lucas John Roberson, a laborer, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
On June 23, 1974 a beautiful, bouncing, baby boy was born to Matthew Robert Roberson and De'Etta Marie Roberson, whom they named Lucas John Roberson. He was the fourth child born into this union. Lucas joined church at a very young age where he played the drums at times, but playing the bass guitar was his passion. He enjoyed playing for his group the Roberson brother's, his church choir, and various groups and churches throughout the Beggs, Tulsa and surrounding areas. Lucas was known for his amazing voice, he had the voice of an Angel (and he knew it too). He loved playing sports especially baseball and basketball. Lucas also known as "Blacc" had a very humerous personality. He was able to light up a room with his many funny stories , jokes, and laughter .He always had a smile and no matter how bad his day may have been or how bad he may have been feeling, he never failed to make someone else smile.
The Lord God, in His infinite wisdom, dispatched His angels and called Lucas home to rest after he battled a very lengthy illness. Lucas was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Mattrick, and his sister Nora. Left to cherish his memories are his two lovely daughter's, Syteria Roberson and Ashauntie Jordan, and his handsome son Lucas John Roberson Jr. "LJ", four brothers Matthew of Tulsa, Isaac (Rita) of Tulsa, Robert (Margaret) of Kansas, and James (Makesha) of Tulsa, Three sister's Dyann (Eddie) of Lousiana, Darnisha (Calvin) of Texas, and a very close cousin whom was just like a sister Amy of Sapulpa.
Lucas also had three very close friends that he loved dearly just like his brother's. Marvin Antwine of Beggs, Damon Earl of Tulsa, and William "Hank" Clark of Tulsa.
Lucas touched many hearts and knew many people, he had a hosts of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will truly miss him.
Services for Mr. Roberson will be Saturday April 11, 2015 at 10AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Tulsa.
