On January 17, 1923, a son was born in Pierce, Oklahoma in McIntosh County from the union of James and Louise [Payne] Warrior. They named him Luches and he was the 4th of 11 children in the family. 2 preceded him in death at birth.
Luches received his primary education at Pierce Public School. While yet at an impressionable age, he confessed a hope in Christ and united with the Mount Olive Star Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend William Warrior. There, he sang with a quartet.
After reaching adulthood, Luches joined the United States Navy, serving his country honorably from from 1944 until his discharge in 1947.
He married Edna Robertson, and this union produced 9 children. 2 preceded him in death. This marriage was later dissolved and in 1980, he met and then married Charlesetta Cunningham, and this union added 7 children to the family. One preceded him in death.
Mr. Warrior was a concrete finisher by trade, a tree trimmer, and also hauled hay. He retired as a Firefighter for McIntosh County Fire Department.
He enjoyed life, including his hobbies of fishing and playing dominoes.
In 1982, he united with the First Baptist Church of Rentiesville under the leadership of the late Reverend T. E. Jones, where he served as the Church Janitor until his health began to fail.
