Obituary

"Whoever Dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my GOD, in  whom I trust."  Psalm 91

One's Life Reflected

Lucille "Lou" Brown was born September 8, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Katherine and Doc Wallace.  Lucille departed this life on October 9, 2018 at St. John Hospital.  Lucille was united in holy matrimony to Lester Ray Brown to this union they became a blended family with 9 children.  She was proceeded in death along with her parents, one daughter (Tina Wallace) and one brother (Tony Tart).

Lucille confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of St. Andrews Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. B.M. Bailey until her death.  Lucille loved to cook, she loved to do hair, she loved to help others.  Lucille always had a big beautiful smile and she was a very loving and caring soul.  Lucille loved to dance and be with family and friends.  Lucille loved to take care of her family and loved ones. Lucille and Ray ran their own daycare and they became foster parents,  they fostered 32 kids throughout the years.  Lucille was a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 20 years, she was dedicated to her job and she loved what she did.  Lucille went above and beyond for everybody she encountered, her family, friends, and even the patients she took care of at work.

Lucille was very active with her church, she sang in the choir, she cooked for church functions, and gave her time to church and family activities.  She was very family oriented, Lucille loved to fish, she loved to listen to gospel music, her favorite song was by Dottie Peoples, I want to be ready.  Of all the things Lucille loved, her favorite pass time was being with her husband Ray. You never seen Lou without Ray and you never seen Ray without Lou.  Lou and Ray were together 29 years.  Lou taught Ray how to fish, she taught him how to put a fish on a hook.  Lucille was a bright light of laughter everywhere she went and she loved and helped everyone she encountered.  Lucille was a sweet spirit with a heart of Gold, and she never met a stranger.
