"Reflections"
Lyle Don Grayson was delivered to the late Georgia Myers and Lonnie Grayson on August 4, 1932 in Haskell, Oklahoma. Mr. Grayson graduated from Wheatley High School in Boynton, Oklahoma and enrolled in the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1955. Shortly afterward, he met and married Patty L. Brewer. Their union produced two beautiful daughters, Leslie and Maria.
Lyle was a hard worker, and when he was not working his primary job, you could find him repairing lawn mowers more many of his fellow Northside Tulsa residents. He was employed by the City of Tulsa for over 23 years. He was a quiet, generous man who never met a stranger. Known to many as "Dale" or "Pork Chop," his trademark was cruising the town in his red truck. He loved fishing, and following his retirement, his life was centered on his grandson, and great-grandsons. His presence will be deeply missed. Lyle will be remembered as a loyal, dedicated family man who was willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed.
His parents, and a brother and sister preceded him in death. Remaining to cherish his precious memories: his wife Patty Grayson, daughters: Leslie Bolling and husband and son Jeffery & Christian, Denver, CO., Maria Moore, Tulsa, OK., granddaughter Tiffany Moore, grandson Tyler James, Tulsa, OK., great-grandsons: Deande and Deante Allen, Tulsa, OK., 1 sister, Evelyn Wheat, brothers: Sam Freeman, Calvin Freeman, sisters-in-law: Gwendolyn Ebbs, and Margaret Ransom, 1 brother-in-law, Wendell Brewer and wife Delores, all of Oklahoma, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Services will be Friday June 20, 2008 at 11AM inside the All Faiths Chapel. Visitation for Mr. Grayson will be Thursday from 12 to 7PM.
