Obituary

On March 9, 1940, Lyndell James Fultz was the fifth child born to Johna nd Wilma Fultz. He was better known as "Pete", a nickname his mother gave to him.

Born in Beggs, Oklahoma, "Pete" attended Okmulgee Public Schools, where he ultimately graduated from the Historic Dunbar High School with the Class of 1959.

Some Forty-eight years ago, he met a young lady, Nancy Hanson that he fell in love with and they were married on August 7, 1959. Their union produced two children, Lonell and Lynda. "Pete" moved to California later that year to work, where he became a cement mason. He remained there for thirteen years before returning to Okmulgee in 1972.

He loved to attend Church Service at his Church, First Baptist Church-Central and also felt a part of St. Matthew Baptist Church, when he helped with the planning and building of the new Church. He was an avid Golfer and had many friends that he enjoyed playing with. Everyone will remember him with his soft-spoken voice and very mild manners. He touched quite a few lives and there wasn't much he couldn't fix or figure out. He will be missed by all whol knew him.

On Easter Sunday morning, "Pete" went home to be with his Heavenly Father, April 8, 2007 with his loving wife near his side. He was greeted at Heaven's gates by those family members who went before him; his parents, a brother, Melvin, a brother, Donald Ray, and a granddaughter.
