On October 25, 1948 in Stamford, Connecticut, Lorraine Haynes Scott and James A. Scott gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. They named their new bundle of joy, Lynette.
Lynette accepted Christ at the age of 8 years old. She enjoyed her Christian experience and she expressed it through her work in the church. Her work included witnessing for Christ, serving on the usher board, and singing in the choir. She especially enjoyed singing with the Young Adult Choir at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church (F.T.M.B.C.) in Stamford, and she worked with various other organizations in the church. Lynette was first lady at First Baptist Mohawk and Faith Baptist Church both located in Tulsa, OK. She was a member of the Christian Minister Wives Fellowship, where she served as president for a term. Mrs. McIntyre graduated from Stamford High School in 1967 and received an Associate's Degree from Tulsa Community College. On August 26, 1967, she married Raymond McIntyre, Jr. and from that union 2 children were born: Bridget Denene and Raymond, III.
She worked as an assistant to the administratior at F.T.M.B.C., Consolidated Diesel (Old Greenwich, CT), and for the voter registration in Tulsa, OK.. Lynette was an avid reader along with being a connoisseur of movies. She was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first grandchild, Desire Renee. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother: James Rucker. Lynette is survived by her husband: Raymond McIntyre, Jr., Tulsa, OK., Bridget McIntyre Boswell (Marvin), Smyrna, GA., and Raymond McIntyre, III (Desiree), Moreno Valley, CA., one sister; Gloria Stewart, Stamford, CT., 2 brothers: Robert Scott, and Zane Scott, Norwalk, CT., godparents, Clyde and Janie Price, North Carolina, along with a host of aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
Visitation will be in Tulsa on Tuesday February 23, 2010 from 12PM ~ 6PM. A wake will follow at 6PM for Mrs. McIntyre.
Lynette will be eulogized March 2, 2010 at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Stamford Connecticut.
