Obituary

Ms. Madercia Sadako Lee, after 61 years, left this life for a life eternal on Friday, October 14, 2016 from her home in Muskogee.

Madercia "Dede" Sadako Lee, journeyed home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 14, 2016, in the home she loved dearly. Dede, was born November 7, 1954, in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Clarence Daniel and Naomi Cummings, the sixth child born to their union.
Dede graduated from Muskogee Public School and attended Northeastern University.

She thoroughly enjoyed athletics, being physically fit and practicing healthy eating habits. She enjoyed riding her bike. A lack of vehicle transportation could never keep her still or stop her as long as she had her bike. Dede would have rode her bike to heaven if she could, regardless of any weather conditions and regardless of how many rides family and friends would have offered. She enjoyed her many designs of baseball caps. Rarely would you see her without her stylish caps and black fanny packs packed to the max.

Dede was well-known as a Self Employed Home Health Care Provider. She provided housekeeping and personal care assistance to the elderly community throughout Muskogee County. She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Church of God 7 Day. She was very passionate about her work and the services she provided. She was an active volunteer within the community, but most of all a true believer in God. Dede lived everyday believing God would always make a way. She knew she was highly favored and a child of the most high God. Her favorite saying was, "I am Blessed and Highly Favored." Her strong will to live a happy life, maintain a loving relationship with her children and family, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters is how she tried so hard to live her life.

Madercia is preceded in death by her father, mother, one brother, one sister, and grandparents. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Natosha Cummings Price (Sherman), Buffalo, New York, and Nirako La'Shea (Boona) Cummings of Duncanville; Texas, four grandchildren, Niah Price, Christopher Price, Christin Bethany and Taylor Rusk; four sisters, Patricia Coleman, Grandview, Missouri, Naomi Buchanan, Elizabeth Ballard all of Muskogee, and Nirako Renee Cummings, Dallas, Texas; one brother, Luther J. Cummings (Bernice) of Muskogee; one sister-in-law, Sheryl Cummings, Dallas, Texas, a host of nieces, and nephews, and cousins.
