"May the Life of service I have lived speak for me"
On September 2, 1964 James and Estelle Burrell were delivered a precious bundle of joy. Their bundle of joy was a precious baby boy they named Malcolm Ray Burrell. Malcolm enjoyed music and playing the bass guitar with his childhood friends. Malcolm attended Tulsa Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School's class of 1982 in which he was a member of the "pit band." He attended Northeastern Oklahoma University in Miami, Oklahoma and also Tulsa Community College in which he majored in Computer Programming.
It was at Mount Rose Baptist Church that Malcolm Ray Burrell accepted his call into the ministry under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Phillips, were he also preached the first of many powerful sermons. Malcolm also had a weekly devotional on the radio. Malcolm would later become a devoted member of Full Gospel Family Outreach Ministries.
On April 20, 2002, Malcolm married Mellissa Wayne of Tulsa, Oklahoma. To this loving union, two children were born: Eden Makayla, and Ne'veah Jordin. Malcolm was loved and cherished and went out of his way to help others and was a positive person that always made you laugh. His favorite song was "Blessed" by Fred Hammond. Malcolm was a very devoted family man and father and he treasured his family.
His brother Rip Allen Burrell preceded him in death. Malcolm leaves in God's care: his wife, Mellissa Burrell, his two daughters: Ne'veah and Eden, his parents: James Issac Burrell, Sr., and Estelle Burrell, his four siblings: Michael Frost, Madelyn Andrews, James Issac Burrell, Jr., Melody Watson (Byron), thirteen nieces and nephews, two great-nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
