" This is my story...."

A Time To Be Born:

In the Winter of 1973, at 12:19 in the afternoon, Linda Kay McHenry (Gaines) and Joe Gene Sanders celebrated the birth of a beautiful baby girl on the 6th day of December. They named their new daughter, Marcella Denise Sanders, but better known as "Cella".

A Time To Learn:

Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she attended and graduated from Porter Consolidated Schools with the Class of 1992.

A Time To Live:

Marcella always enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy, General Hospital, and was a true crime junky. She always had a smile on her face. If she had it and knew you were in need, she was going to help you as much as she could. Her last days she enjoyed the time she spent playing in the floor with her nephew, Hezekiah with his cars and trucks. Marcella was always a champ when it came to family game night for knowing the answers before anyone else could answer. Even with her diagnosis she always remained positive and never complained.

A Time To Die:

On Thursday evening, January 16, 2025, Marcella became absent with the body, and present with the Lord with close family members by her side. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family and close friends.

A Time To Reflect:

Marcella leaves to cherish her memory include her mother Linda Kay Gaines, her father Joe Gene Sanders (Earline), her sisters Holli Brown, Tanganakia Sanders, Mykesha Sanders, and brother Joe Gene Sanders JR. Her nephews Hezekiah, Keynon, Kameron Keshaun, Joe III, nieces Tiara, Kandance, Keyonta, Karley, and Makaela. Her two great nephews Kyntrel and Josiah. Along with a host of many more family members and friends.

The Hour of Remembrance for Ms. Sanders will commence on Saturday afternoon, Three Hours Past Noon on the 25th Day of January, 2025 in the most holy sanctuary of the Central Missionary Baptist Church.  The Pastor, Reverend Jamie Powell, will render Words of Comfort.

You may visit "Cella" as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Friday, between the hours of 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM in Muskogee.
