On October 1, 1965, a bouncing bundle of joy was delivered to Ernest Joe and Doris Thompson Lewis. They named their baby boy Marcus Darrell. Marcus attended Beggs High School graduating with the class of 1984. He also attended Langston University. He accepted Christ at an early age. He worked for Tulsa Community College for 18 years.

His son, Marcus D. Lewis, Jr., his parents, and brothers Ricky D. Lewis, and Anthony Montgomery preceded him in death. Remaining to cherish his precious memories: his loving daughter Maleia Lewis, siblings, Vickie E. Murdock, Dayton, Ohio, Laticia L. Howard (Samuel), Tulsa, OK, Cassandra Lewis, Tulsa, OK, Evie Hillstock, Tulsa, OK, Jerry D. Lewis, Helena, OK, Earnest J. Lewis, Jr.(Cozetta) Jenks, OK, uncles, Sherman Lewis (Berniece), Edmond, OK, and Sereenas Evans, Beggs, OK, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services for Mr. Lewis will be Saturday February 15, 2014 at 11AM at Praise Center Family Church located at 608 E. Apache St.Friends may visit Mr. Lewis on Friday from 2PM until 7PM.  Mr. Lewis will be interred at Beggs City Cemetery in Beggs, Oklahoma.
