Obituary

Margaret Louise Roberts McClain was born on November 1, 1930, from the union of Major and Maggie Roberts in Moffett, Oklahoma.

Margaret was a faithful and active member of First Missionary Baptist church for over seventy years. Mommy was the 1st Vice President of Antioch District Missionary Baptist Association Regular; President, First Missionary Baptist Church Missionary Society; Active in Antioch District Congress of Christian Education; Delegate, Regular Arkansas Baptist Convention, Inc.; Director, Sunshine Band; Willie Walton Circle; former choir member, just loved to sing any chance she got. Deaconess and Sunday school for over 20 years.
She was definitely a "prayer warrior." Her ministry was to visit the sick whether it was home or in the hospital. She prayed, sang, counseled, prepared food including desserts to every sick- and- shut- in she visited. These were her vital parts of serving Christ until near the end of her life. She absolutely finished strong for Christ.
Mother honored Christ to the very end, Paul stated, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day… (2 Timothy, 4: 7-8)." Mommy finished strong for Christ and will be with him forever.

She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She always put her children and grandchildren ahead of her own needs. She sacrificed her education to provide resources for her children to continue their education.

Her family thanks God for her life and now grieves her loss.
Our Mother was a woman like no other. She gave us life, nurtured us, taught us, dressed us, fought for us, held us, shouted at us, kissed us, but most importantly loved us unconditionally. There are not enough words I can say to describe just how important our mother was to us, and what a powerful influence she will continue to be. We love you "Miss Mommy!"

Mother McClain took her journey to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, and to meet her earthly family in heaven on January 2, 2015. She was surrounded and comforted by her children, other family members, and her beloved pastor, Rev. Ellis Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, MC, Evans, Frank, Isaac, Ruben, Altha, Johnny, Joseph, and Gladys. She is also predeceased by her children, James, and Danfredt.
