After a courageous battle with a long illness, Margaret Ruth Doyle Henderson passed away peacefully May 16, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to William Doyle Sr. and Mary Harris on August 8, 1944, blessing her family and friends with seventy-two wonderful years of life. Margaret, also known as "Margo" grew up in Tulsa, where she was well known and loved by many. A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Margaret married Kenneth Lee Patterson of Tulsa and their union was blessed with four children; Bruce, Shelerisa, Kent & Franchot.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Margaret was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord. A long-time member of the Eastside Baptist Church she served the Lord as lead cook on the Food and Refreshment Committee, where she was loved and well known. She was also a member of the Choir and Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of Eastside. Margaret attended Conner State College while working for the Head Start Program, where she studied Early Childhood Development from 1980 to 1982. After Leaving Head Start, she went to work for Deep Fork Community Action, where she delivered meals to the elderly throughout Okmulgee for years. Following Deep Fork Community she pursued a career in the Home Health Industry for Bios in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. While at Bios, she worked as a Home Care Provider for the mentally challenged in several group homes in the Sapulpa area. She was promoted to Group Home Director1 until becoming ill in 1999 and continued to work until her retirement in 2004. During retirement, she spent quite a bit of time travelling with family and friends.

After her final surgery in 2012, she briefly resided in Little Rock, Arkansas and later moved on to San Antonio, Texas, before being called home to the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father, William Doyle Sr., her mother, Mary Harris and her step-mother, Willie Lee Colbert; her Sister, Anna Gannon and step-sister Scherryl Alexander.

Margaret Ruth Doyle Henderson leaves to mourn her passing, her loving children; Bruce & Johnnie Patterson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kent Patterson & Partner of Trophy Club, Texas; Shelerisa Lundy of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Franchot Patterson of San Antonio, Texas; her niece Scherryl Coulter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her nephew Clyde Johnson of San Antonio, TX; and her Godson, Terry Metcalf of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Five Sisters Yvonne Lewis and Claudette Wallace of Okmulgee, OK; Shirley Earl of Compton, CA; Mary Brown, Glenda Thompson; and one brother William Doyle Jr. of Fresno, CA; her step-sister, Sharon Jones Anderson, Okmulgee, OK; two step-brothers Chris Penn of Tulsa, OK and Barron Penn of Broken Arrow, OK. Three grandchildren Bruce Patterson Jr. of South Carolina, Antoine Lundy Jr. of Tampa, FL and Kelton Patterson of Okmulgee, OK. Several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins &a host of relatives & friends.

The final hour with "Margo" will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Eastside Baptist Church. 217 North Osage Avenue in Okmulgee. Reverend Marcus Jeffrey, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Doyle Cemetery at Yahola, Oklahoma, just west of Taft.

Visitation will be on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM at the Church.
