A baby girl was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on March 30, 1924 from the union of Tom Hollins and Leona Parker Hollins. She was named Marie Alice.
Marie received her education in the Muskogee Public School system, attending Douglas School on the South side of Muskogee and ultimately, Historic Manual Training High School. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was a longtime member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Muskogee.
Better know as "Re" or "Re Re" to family and friends, she was a homemaker, housewife and worked in private homes in the Country Club addition, where she was an important part of the Foster and Norman families. She loved to play softball as well as other sports, but she was an avid baseball fan at heart. She also loved to cook, as most would testify.
In her 86th season, Marie Alice Green "took flight with Angels, to thine place of rest" on Saturday morning, April 17, 2010 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was met with open arms in Heaven by her husband, Harriett Green, Sr., her parents, Leona and Tom Hollins, five sisters and three brothers.
