Obituary

December 19, 1955 was a great day in Tulsa, Oklahoma as Marilyn Ann Hall was born to Josephine Trent. Later Alonzo Hall joined the family and another daughter, Arvella Hall, was added, making a fine family of four.  She attended Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1974.

Coming from a Military family, she began traveling at an early age across the United States and as far as Germany. Eventually, life settled her in Tulsa and she began her professional career as a registered nurse. She tried her hands at a plethora of things and excelled in the Publishing sphere at Pennwell Publishing Company. Life then took another turn and led her to pursue yet another degree in Mass Media Communications from Oral Roberts University. That opened doors for her to work at various Tulsa radio stations, television shows, and newspapers, especially being published in the Tulsa World Newspaper, Oklahoma Eagle Newspaper, and Kidz Magazine. Marilyn had a streak of entrepreneurship as well, evident by starting her own radio show called Voices of Love and line of children's and cook books.

During this journey, Marilyn experienced many life stages. She had a precious daughter. She remained active within her Christian faith being an Azusa Conference volunteer, VBS teacher and attended various convocations. She also enjoyed watching NFL Football, playing dominoes, gardening and cooking a mean peach cobbler.

Everyone who crossed her path left better than they came. It always seemed those needing a kind ear, encouraging word or an honest life check sought out the wisdom of Marilyn Ann. She always made time for those in need and brought true the words "she will give you the shirt off her back."

On April 20, 2017 Marilyn Ann transitioned to spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents: Josephine and Alonzo Hall. She leaves to celebrate her home going: a daughter, Nikenya R. Hall of New York City, NY; sister, Arvella L. Hall of Tulsa OK; niece, Carrington B. Hall of Tulsa, OK; and grandpup, Mister Hall of New York City, NY along with a host of relatives and friends.
