Obituary

Marquis Ramondo Hill was born May 12, 1981 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Calvin and Nancy Hill. Affectionately known as "Man," he accepted Christ at an early age being a member of Northside Church of God and Christ and later rededicating his life and became a member of Macedonia Fellowship Ministries.

Marquis' primary education took place in the Tulsa Public Schools system attending Academy Central Elementary, Madison Middle School, and Central High school graduating with the class of 1999. Marquis was a member of Tulsa Central Marching Band and enjoyed playing the Tuba, receiving several certificates of appreciation. He later used those skills playing in the Langston University Marching Pride and was a member of the Tuba Dawgs. After college, Marquis met Brandy Crisp. To this union a beautiful baby girl was born Makayla Hill, his one and only child.

In 2002 Marquis lived in Kansas City, Missouri and attended ConCorde Career Institute graduating from the Medical Assistant Program. He then returned to Tulsa and was employed by St. John Hospital as a transporter. After several years of employment with St. John, Marquis became a private security guard for Tulsa Public Schools. During this time, Marquis or "Nascar" as he became known, started his own private security firm, providing service for local and regional clubs and business owners.

Marquis Ramondo Hill was called home to Glory on November 2, 2014 at 11:29AM. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry Lacy, Sr., Ray Lee Hill, and Dorothy Jean Hill, three uncles: Ronald HIll, Forrest Hill, and Henry "Hank" Lacy, Jr., and one aunt Doris Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Makayla Hill, Seattle, WA, father Calvin Hill, Kansas City, MO, mother Nancy Hill-Overstreet, and step-father, Gary Overstreet, Tulsa, OK, grandmother Ermergene Lacy, Tulsa, OK, three sisters: Latasha Hill-Hammond, Tulsa, OK, Tanasha Hill, Tulsa, OK, and Ashley Overstreet, Bristow, OK, a special friend, Olga Yurkovskaya, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services for Mr. Marquis R. Hill will be Friday November 7, 2014 at 11AM at Northside Church of God In Christ located at 1101 E. Apache in Tulsa.

Family & Friends will gather for a wake from 5PM until 7PM inside Biglow's All Faiths Chapel.
