Mary Dawson was born to John T. Marsh, Sr. and Thessnerlenure Sillas on November 6,1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the second eldest of her four siblings. Mary attended West Virginia State University and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, the Alpha Delta Chapter in the Fall of 1972.  While there she met Jerome, the love of her life, as they both completed their Accounting degrees in 1975.

After graduation Jerome and Mary moved to Ashland, Kentucky to work for Ashland Oil for a few years.  While in Kentucky they met their lifelong best friends Al and Alice Hatter and decided to follow the Hatters to Tulsa, Oklahoma. While in Tulsa, Mary worked for Transok Incorporated and Citgo Petroleum as an oil and gas accountant.

She attended St. Augustine Catholic Church.  During her free time, she loved listening to music and sports.  Her true passion came from being a devoted wife and loving mother.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory Jerome Dawson, her loving husband of 50 years; two daughters, Michele Dawson and Leslie Dawson; and three siblings, Katherine Collins, Theresa Marsh, and John T. Marsh Jr.
