Ms. Mary Joan Matthews, a resident and former Mayor of Boley, Oklahoma, in her 79th year of life, closed her eyes to rest on, Thursday afternoon, October 9, 2025 in Okemah, Oklahoma with her loving family near her side.

The Sacred Farewell for Ms. Matthews will commence on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the most holy sanctuary of Antioch Baptist Church in Boley, where her Pastor Reginald Walker will preside.

You may visit Mary, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at The Hyde-Park Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors Inc., of Boley on Friday, October 17, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

The Christian Committal will immediately follow the services on Saturday at Eastlawn Cemetery in Boley, Oklahoma.
