Obituary

Ms. Mary Francis Lee, in her 78th season of life, surrendered to the will of the Lord on Wednesday evening, August 11, 2021 from Tahlequah, Oklahoma.


Mary Frances Lee was born on April 7th 1943 in Fort Gibson Ok., to George Clemons and Corrine Kellough. She was raised in Ft. Gibson by her grandfather and mother Charley and Mamie Nevins.


She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Four Mile Baptist Church in Ft Gibson, Ok. She later became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, New Faith Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev G. Palmer and was currently a member of St. Luke Baptist Church under the pastorship of Ray Pickett.


Mary received her formal education at Ft. Gibson Elementary. Mary graduated in 1961 from Lincoln High School in Ft. Gibson, Ok. After graduating Mary married the late Albert Robert Lee in1962 of Muskogee,Ok. To this union six children were born , one proceeds her in death, Albert Robert Lee Jr.


In 1992, Mary started working taking care of Mentally Challenged Individuals as Habilitaion Training Specialist at Incor and Bios in Muskogee Ok. were she continued to work for 26 years until her health began to dwindle.


Many people that knew her will tell you that she had a winning smile and a beautiful personality. You could not pass by and she be on the porch without stopping. If you sat on her porch for one second before you knew it hours would have passed by. She had love not only for her children but a love that extended into her neighborhood.


Mary finished her race on August 11th 2021. She leaves to cherish in her memory her Son's Bobby Lee and wife Marquita Lee of Oklahoma City, Ok., Kelly Lee and wife Tracy Buffington of Muskogee, Ok., Daughters Annette Lee-King and husband Lamonte King of Muskogee, Ok., Gloria Lee-Smith and husband Reginald Smith of Muskogee, Ok., Shelly Lee-Mason and husband David Mason of Muskogee, Ok., her Grandsons Jerel Lee, Damian Smith, Robert Lee and Kyrin Smith, her Granddaughters, Britnie Pease-Walker, Tiffany Pouncil, Sherrel Pease (Muffin), Kyesha Lee, Alisha Pease, Tabitha Burns,, Myesha Pease(Memee), Aerious King,, Kyla Smith, Aizja King and Icis Mason. Her sisters Charlesetta Jacobs of SanBernardino, Cal., Anna Clemons of Muskogee, Ok and two special cousins Ruby Cole and Frankie Newton both of Muskogee along with 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Hour of Remembrance for Mrs. Lee will commence on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the most holy sanctuaray of Harvest Ministries, 2200 East Okmulgee Avenue.  Pastor Lester Beasley is the gracious host, Reverend Jerry Washington, officiating and Bishop George Palmer, Eulogist.  Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.

You may visit Mrs. Lee, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
