A Seasonal Snapshot of……
Mary Alice Tease-Williams Blessed Life

~Her Spring
Mary Tease was the first daughter born to the late Ralph and Attie Bell Arrington-Tease on a bright and sunny Sunday Morning in September 1951. What love she brought to this young couple and her older brother, Ersell. And the love she brought continued….

~Her Summer
Mary confessed her faith and became a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. C.L. Potter and started her walk with God. She became active in the Youth Choir, BTU, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and in community service around Tulsa. Mary started her educational journey in Tulsa Public Schools in 1956 and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School with the outstanding class of 1969. Later she attended Business College where she majored in banking and finance. Mary married Mr. Leon Williams in 1970 and moved to Northern California where she lived for over 35 years. While in California she became a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Vallejo. Mary worked in a variety of professions for over 45 years in California and Oklahoma. She worked in childcare, banking and finance, and later in the jewelry industry as a certified gemologist. Mary touched so many people's lives and her thoughtfulness, caring ways and beautiful smile that could light up any moment. Mary was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, friend, cousin, co-worker, neighbor and sister in-Christ. She also was a devoted extended family member to several families in California and a God-mother to Ashley Mitchell, Miles Tease, and a dozen or so other children all over the United States. Additionally, she had a love for fashion, traveling, and shopping. She enjoyed shopping so much that some say the outlet malls were created just for her!

~Her Fall…..
Mary returned to Tulsa in 2006 and life continued to touch lives. She immediately returned to Antioch Baptist Church where she again served faithfully in the choir and later in the Voices of Triumph Choir. She soon was employed by Tulsa County as a court records clerk and later returned to college attending Tulsa Community College where she was on the Dean's Honor Roll. Mary eagerly served as Matriarch in her immediate family and became responsible for planning family events. She also served as a sales rep for Mary Kay, was an active member of the BTW Class of 1969 alumni, and a new member of Soulful Survivors (a support group for breast cancer survivors).

~Her Winter…..
Mary joins her parents, her brother, Ralph, Jr. one nephew, Ersell Pruitt, Jr. and a host of other relatives on the other side of glory. Mary leaves on this side of glory her loving brothers, Ersell Pruitt, Chicago, IL., Larry Tease (Paula), two sisters: Deborah Tease-Gregg (Terryl), Donna Tease-Mitchell, one aunt Geraldine Tease, Tulsa, and one uncle George Tease, Kansas City, KS., three special sisters: Gladys Bible-Martin, Ella Bible-Willis, Lovee Radford, special friends: Bob and Gloria Stiner, Godmother Geraldine Hill, Lorna Thompson, and Bessie Williams, Sabra Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Mary fought a good fight, finished the race, kept the faith and now is safe at home with the Lord!
