Obituary

Mary (Lowe) Venson, 83 of Eufaula, passed away Thursday December 25, 2014. Mary was born June 21, 1931 in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Bennie and Fannie Jackson Lowe.
On July 18, 1957, Mary married Joe Eddie Venson, Sr. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a faithful member of Sulpher Springs Baptist Church. She was also a member of Sulpher Springs Mission program and served as a Deaconess. She is a graduate of Eufaula Booker T. Washington class of 1948. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mary was a devoted mother who was very proud of her children's accomplishment. She also was a devoted grandmother, sister, and Aunt. She loved to read her bible every day and was a great cook.
Survivors include her children: Charlene Johnson, of Tulsa, OK, Sherry Williams, Garland, TX, Joe E. Venson, Jr. (Janice), Tulsa, OK, Carl Venson, Gary Venson, Eufaula, OK, Berlinda Cunningham, Eufaula, OK, Nora Ballard (William) Tulsa, OK, Tina Alexander (Jerry), Eufaula, OK, and Jerry W. Venson, Eufaula, OK, and her grandson whom she raised Sgt. LaBryant Venson, Lawton, OK, twenty-three grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Alice Wright, Evangeline Hopkins, Tulsa, OK, Gladys Robinson, Boynton, OK, Frances Lowe, Helen Ivory, Tulsa, OK, and Nora Watts (Melvin), Boynton, OK, and Charles D. (Geneva), Tulsa, OK, daughters in-law, Glenda McCormick, Tulsa, OK, Stacy Venson, Dallas, TX, Camaden Venson Williams, Eufaula, OK, a sister in-law, Bernadine Lowe (Fulsom), and Cleta Jestine Lowe, both of Muskogee, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Fannie Lowe, son Ray McCormick, grandson, Eric Lawrence, son in-law Clarence Cunningham, brothers Rev. Albert Lowe, and Bennie D. Lowe, and sister Rosie English.

The Sacred Farewell for Mrs. Venson will be on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 in the Freewill Baptist Church of Eufaula, Oklahoma. Reverend Samuel Harper will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Eufaula.

For convenience, You may visit Mrs. Venson on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Eufaula.
