Melinda Lucille Fields (Brown) was born on October 23, 1932 to King and Marie Brown in Paris, Arkansas. She was one of 15 blessings that the Brown union created. Melinda developed a relationship with Christ at a young age, a relationship that would last a lifetime.

As a young adult, Melinda moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Melinda was blessed with a daughter, Katherine (Kat) Jackson and a son Ray Charles Byrd (BoBo). She was a caring, loving, and devoted wife to Marvin C. Fields for over 30 years. The couple built a beautiful life in Tulsa.

On Saturday, January 6, 2018, Melinda accepted her wings and transitioned to her forever home!

Melinda was proceed in death by her Father, Mother, Brothers, a Sister, Husband, Grandson and Great, Great Grandson.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Katherine Jackson (Kat) and son Ray Charles Byrd (BoBo), a Granddaughter, Pamela Head (Geoffrey Head), 8 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great Grandchildren, 3 Sisters, a host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and Friends.
