Obituary

Meno Gilford was born on August 25, 1969 from the union of James Lee and Clementine [Simpson] Gilford in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the 9th of 10 children born to this family.

Meno received his education at Tulsa Public Schools at an early age and united with the Valley View Church of the Nazarene and was baptized.

Later in life, Meno met and then married Jeana L. Willit in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their loved produced two beautiful children, Meno Jr., and Kiana.

Meno enjoyed cooking, talking and taking care of his family. He will be missed by his loving family and friends.

After 36 years, Meno V. Gilford left this life for a life eternal from Tulsa Regional Medical Center on Friday morning, August 18, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Gilford.

He leaves to lament his passing; his wonderful wife, Jeana L. Gilford, of the home in Tulsa, Oklahoma; hi sson, Meno V. Gilford, Jr.; his daugther, Kiana Gilford; three sisters, Janie Smith, Wagoner, Oklahoma, Angie Gilford Brown and Elaine Gilford Williams, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 6 brothers, Tony Nave, Lexington, Oklahoma, James Gilford, Ted Gilford, Jimmy Gilford, Lonnie Gilford, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kenny Reynolds, Hominy, Oklahoma; two brothers-in-law, Julius Brown and Frankie Williams, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Dorthea Gilford; six aunts, Jewelene Gilford Hubert, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gracie Sallis, Ora Lee Simpson, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Willie Jewell Simpson, Georgia May Reynolds and Lucille Stone, Muskogee, Oklahoma; an uncle, Lon D. Gilford; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Service of Memory for Meno will be held on Friday, August 26, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. in the Blood Bought Church of God in Christ, 1102 North 3rd Street. Elder Clark Gilford, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery at Wagoner, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be on Thursday, from 12 Noon to 7 PM at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., Tulsa Chapel. Also, on friday, from 9 AM to 11:30 AM at the funeral home in Muskogee.
