Ms. Merrilan Katherine Bruner, in her 81st season of life, received her rest on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2025 from Plano, Texas.

A former resident of Okmulgee and longtime Dormitory Manager for dear ole' Langston University, Ms. Bruner was simply a sweet, sweet spirit we will all miss.

Prior to Mrs. Merrilan Bruner's transition to Glory, all of the Bruner children had the extraordinary honor to serve and take care of her. "May the work I've done speak for me!" Mom exemplified this attribute on a daily basis.

Her Sacred Farewell will commence on Saturday, May 17, 2025  Two Hours into the Afternoon in the most holy sanctuary of the First Baptist Church-Central, 521 North Central Avenue in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  The Pastor, Reverend Darren Williams will Preside.

You may visit Ms. Bruner, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Friday, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

The Christian committal and burial will follow on the sacred grounds of the Tuskegee Cemetery, Edna, Oklahoma.
