Obituary

This is the story of Michael Foster. Michael was a wonderful man who was loved. His heart and soul will be sorely missed, and he will always be cherished. Peewee Foster brought true meaning to the proverbial expression, "I'll give you the shirt off of my back".

Michael Foster was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, on June 20, 1953. He was the fourth child of Mabel Foster (Mitchell) and Nadier Foster. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Michael went to grade school at Attucks and graduated from Okmulgee High School with the Class of 1973. He joined the Army National Guard, then later joined the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Foster attended OSU-Okmulgee Tech and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. Michael was known for his tall tales, dancing, and joking. He
enjoyed making people laugh and he never met a stranger.

Michael Foster was in his 69th year with us when he went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2023. He was greeted in heaven by his mother and father; his brothers, Phillip Foster and Herbert Smith; aunts, Violetta Nunley, Loretta McFalls, Armetta Tunley, Emma Montgomery, Lenora
Sharp, and Avadna Mitchell; and uncles, Vernon Mitchell, Bell Mitchell, Arvesta Mitchell, Sr., John Nunley, John Foster, and Clearance Tunley.

Michael Foster leaves in God's care: his wife, Dorcas R. Foster; two sons, Michael (April) and Jeremy Foster, and one stepson, Marcus Adkism; grandkids, Yancey, Mikey, Mooriah, Mikael, Egypt, Tavion, Jamia, and Makensie Foster, and Markeda, Dayveon, and Markell Adkism; one great-grandson, Tobias Foster; two sisters, Anna (Joseph) McGriff and Linda Foster; one brother, Terry (Maria) Foster; brothers-in-law, Lyndon, Orlando (Deb), Lewis (Rachel), Marvin (Nancy), Jerry (Denna), and Ricky (Janise) Stewart; uncles, Earnest (Gladys) Foster and Olen McFalls; aunt, Mary Mitchell; special cousin, Troy Mitchell, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
