Obituary
On Saturday Nov. 3, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Michael Jerome Morris passed away at Hillcrest Medical Center after a lengthy illness, with his wife by his side.
Michael Jerome Morris was born February 8, 1950, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the son of Johnny and Madeline Morris, he was the seventh of eight children. Michael was a devoted husband and Father.
Michael married Sheila McCane in 1978 and between them, they raised 3 children; Michelle, Felicia and Christopher. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and music. He graduated from OSU Technical College with a degree in Printing and also attended Langston University to pursue a music degree.
He spent his career working in several printing companies and also for the Kenworth Trucking Company.
Left to celebrate his life; his Wife of 43yrs. Sheila E. Morris, of the home in Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Michelle(Byron)Hunter of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Felicia (LeRoy) Brinkley Jr., of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a son, Christopher (Janelle) Moore, of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Melvin (Virginia) Morris, of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Marcellous (Lelia) Morris of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three sisters, Norma (Clarence) Powell of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Rosemary (Ben) Woody of Owasso, Oklahoma and Helen (Camponella) Stelle, of Owasso, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews and grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Johnny and Mary Madeline Morris, a sister, Marilyn Holmes and brother, Narvel l Morris
The final hour with Mr. Morris will commence on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Okmulgee. Reverend Gregory Richardson, Pastor of Conversion Ministries, will officiate.
You may visit Mr. Morris, as he slumbers in peaceful repose on Friday from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home in Okmulgee.
