ON September 28, 1953, a beautiful baby boy was born to Willie and Ernestine Scott. This bundle of joy was named Michale Courtni Scott.
Michael grew up in Muskogee and graduated from Historic Manual Training High School with the Class of 1971. Michael was better known to all who knew him as "Pachy." He met and married his childhood sweetheart, Gloria Russell. This union was blessed with two boys.
Michael joined the Army National Guard, serving basic training at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. After returning to Muskogee, he pursued his life long dream. He established the Gold Dragon School of Kung Fu, where he instructed young people and old in the values of courage, respect and discipline. His motto was "once a Dragon, always a Dragon and Dragons die hard."
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Scott and his father, Willie Scott, Sr. Loved ones left to celebrate his homegoing; his loving wife, Gloria Scott, of the home; his sons, Michael C. Scott, Jr., and Dyon Johnson, Muskogee, Oklahoma and Willie A. Scott and wife Melanie and 2 granddaughters, Monica Scott and Cierea Scott, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Donna Payne and Sandra Anderson, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 2 very special friends, Antonio Johnson and wife, Eddie, Marion, Iowa and Mary Kirksly, Muskogee, Oklahoma; along with several sisters, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Michael will always remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend B. W. Noble is the gracious host pastor and Reverend Jerry Washington will officiate.
Friends may sign the register at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon to 5 PM.
