Mildred J. Simmons McKellop was born on March 2, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wilie Miles and Bealie Jackson Simmons.
She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and became a dedicated and faithful member of Church Alive in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
She received her education at Carter G. Woodson and graduted in 1961. Upon graduation, she attended Langston University.
In 1965, she was united in marriage to Edward McKellop, Sr., and this union was blessed with 3 children.
Mildred left this life on Friday, March 3, 2006 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Floyd Reynolds.
She leaves to cherish her memory; 2 sons, Edward [Patricia], and Torrance; a daughter, Bealie LaShauna, all of Wagoner, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Shanita, Krishawna, Edward III, Torrance, Jr., and Shateau; 2 aunts, Mildred Williams, Bakersfield, California and Helen jackson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; an uncle, Arthur Jackson, Sr., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; along with other relatives and friends.
The Services will be on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Union Baptist Church of Wagoner. Reverend Hersey Hammons, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Guthrie, Oklahoma, will officiate.
