Mr. Monroe "Trey" Bird, III, in his 21st year, "Finished Early" on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
Monroe Bird III, affectionately known as "Trey", had
a personality that never met a stranger. He left an
impression on most of the people he came into contact
with, with his one sided smile and jovial personality.
Being the youngest and only son made him feel quite
special. He could get his sisters to sneak him cookie
dough before momma could bake them or getting
someone told who posted negativity on his page.
Trey was a graduate of the 2012 class of Okemah High
School where he played basketball on State contending
teams. He attended OSU Okmulgee pursuing the Culinary
Arts. He was working temporary jobs in banquets before
he was injured in February 2015.
Trey received the Holy Ghost in his hospital bed on Feb.
8th. He had Dada to pray with him on several occasions
to be sure he got it. He made a huge spiritual turn
around and became a seeker of the Lord, witnessing to
any hospital staff that would listen. One of the highlights
during the final month of his life was getting to attend
church here at Mt. Calvary.
Preceding Trey in passing were Monroe Bird Sr.
(Pawpaw), Donnie Bird (Uncle) and Naynie Don-don
(Aunt). Cherishing his memory, mom and dada (Zondra
and Johnny Magness), sister Kiera, (home), sister
Kocrese Nash (Chase), Tulsa, Dad Monroe Bird Jr, (Tulsa),
brother, Jaelin Magness (home), "Mema", Herlean
Bird(OKC), "Granny", Doris Davis (home), Aunts Makia
Bird Houston, TX, Doris Brown ( Herschel) Grand Prairie,
TX , Grandpa Dee Davis (Cecilia) Wichita, KS and many
other relatives and friends.
