IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Naoma Miles
Gannon
December 11, 1932 – July 19, 2017
On December 11, 1932, a beautiful baby girl was born to Roosevelt and Rosa Lee (Grant) Ransom in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Naoma attended Douglas High School in Wewoka. Naoma was a long time resident of Okmulgee, OK where she raised four sons. While in Okmulgee, OK she united with Eastside Baptist Church where she served diligently in several auxiliaries.
Naoma united in holy matrimony to Thomas F. Gannon and later moved to Tulsa, OK. They united with Morning Star Baptist Church. As her health began to fail, she was unable to attend church regularly but her heart was always thinking about her church family.
Naoma loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength and she loved her family and friends. She was a very lovable person. Her home was the setting for her son's friends to hang out and she loved cooking for them. She never turned anyone away from her dinner table. Christmas dinner was her favorite family time. She would cook for days and her three story cakes were a work of art.
Naoma is preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Rosa Lee (Grant) Ransom, her husband's Charles Miles and Thomas F. Gannon; one son, Anthony Charles Miles Sr.; three sisters, Essie May Franklin, Gail Irene Willis, Mildred Lou Stillwell and five brothers, Eddie Ransom, Don Ransom, Leamon Ray Ransom, Booker Ransom and Leroy Ransom.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her sons, David Manning (Pauletta) of Tulsa, OK, Troy Miles of Wichita, TX, Terry Miles of Muskogee, OK; stepdaughter, Gladys L Wallace (Carl) of Desoto, TX; stepson, Clyde Johnson of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Maggie Horton, Linda Powell, Velely Boyd all of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Latesha Cowans (Juan) of Okmulgee, OK, Miranda Motte of Tulsa, OK, Lanesha Jackson (Lawrence) of Atlanta, GA, Andre Miles of Tulsa, OK, Shana Massey, of Tulsa, OK, Christie Ball, of Tulsa, OK, Anthony Miles, Jr. of Dallas, TX and Terryn Miles of Muskogee, OK and a host of beautiful great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
