Obituary

On June 29, 1931, Johnny and Madalina Crisp celebrated the birth of a beautiful baby boy named Narvell Morris. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior under the Catholic Church serving as an altar boy.

Narvell attended Okmulgee Banneker Elementary and graduated from Okmulgee Dunbar High School. Narvell was very successful in sports and had a strong love for baseball. After graduating from High School in 1944, he joined the Army and fought in the Korean War in which he served from 1947 until 1956.

Upon his return from the military he met and married Juanita Walker. During this union they had four children: Kenneth, Joseph, Sandra, and Tammy. Narvell worked as a welder for Yuba Heat and Air and Westin Supply.

Narvell attended St. Paul AME Church serving as Pastor for 30 years. He later became the Pastor at Wilkes James AME Church in Tulsa, OK.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Madelina, and father Johnny Morris, two sons Kenneth and Joseph Morris, and one sister Marilyn Morris Holmes. He leaves to cherish his legacy his daughters: Sandra Morris (Reggie), Tammy Morris (Dewayne), both of Tulsa, OK, Marie Ford, Okmulgee, OK, Renea Adeyemo (Adebowale), Mansfield, TX, Valorie Monroe, Detroit, MI, siblings: Norma Powell (Clarence), Okmulgee, OK, Marcellus Morris (Lelia), Little Rock, AR, Melvin Morris (Virginia), Cocoa Beach, FL, Rosemary Woody (Ben), Tulsa, OK, Helen Steele (Campanella), Owasso, OK, Michael Morris (Shelia), Tulsa, OK, and special friend LeeAnn Richardson, Tulsa, OK, grandchildren: Nakia Morris Shandle (Memphis), Jamel Goff (Shania), Shawntae, Cassandra, Madison, Isaiah, Ralph, Jr., Brionna, A'Kyah, Queen, Tommy, Johny, Rerryn, great-grandchildren Ke'Juan (Scooby), Coreyon, Leyonna, Laila, Aaryonna, Aaron, Jr., Darion, Darious, Kailee, and Jamel, Jr. and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and other family. He was very much the apple of his dearly departed grandmother Rosa Crisp's eye.

Services for Narvell Morris will be Saturday March 12, 2016 at 11AM at Conversion Ministries in Okmulgee.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.

Visitation will be Friday from 1PM until 6PM in Okmulgee.
