Obituary

A loving father, confidant and friend, Nathaniel Alexander, Sr., was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the son of Lottie Clark and Angus Alexander on March 19, 1914.

At an early age, he moved to Muskogee with his family, where he attended Rayfield Baptist Church.

Mr. Alexander took up the trade of Professional Plumber and in 1945, he founded and established Alexander Plumbing and Heating Company. Through this business venture, he has helped many achieve their plumbing license and add to their business. Many have worked under the tutelage of Nathaniel, where many gained the knowledge and wisdom he tried to teach them and share with them.

On Monday evening, May 22, 2006, the Lord looked out over His Garden and saw a need for this flower to return home. We loved him but the Lord knew what was best. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lena, a son, Nathan Alexander, Jr., and his brothers, Cloyce Tucker and Ben Tucker.

He will be remembered as a great father, great brother, great grandfather, great uncle, great businessman and mos of all, one that tried to help everyone.

Remaining to cherish his memory; two sons, Charles Alexander, Tacoma, Washington and Elbert Alexander, Muskogee, Oklahoma; a daughter, Terissa Alexander-Hampton, Desoto, Texas; a step-son, John Porter, Muskogee, Oklahoma; two sisters, Edna Stancle, Battlecreek, Michigan and Helen Glenn, Tecumseh, Oklahoma; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
