Reflections of a Life
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, And my refuge is in God! Psalms 62:7

From the beginning to end, a race is run. And thus was the beginning of the journey for our beloved Nicholas Todd Martin. He was also lovingly called "Nick" and "TT" by his family and close friends. Nicholas started his race on October 8, 1990. He ended his journey during the early morning hours of December 31, 2010.

Nicholas, a devoted father, brother, a beloved son and a beautiful young man in every way, was taken from us far too early in life. He was the son of Nicole Renea Perry, and William Todd Martin. He attended Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from East Central High School in 2009. He later attended Tulsa Technology Center where he was certified as a welder.

Nicholas had a passion for basketball and played the game as often as could. He was employed at the Hillcrest Medical Center. From the watchful eye of a physician he worked with, Nicholas' interest in detail and dedication to his job was recognized. He was on the brink of launching a career path into surgical technical training.

Nicholas Todd Martin's journey home to the Lord will be cherished by the loved ones he left behind. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his 5 month old daughter, Navaeh, mother, Nicole Perry, sister, Chelsea Perry-Jones (Taijuan), grandfather, Johnnie Perry, four aunts: Patricia Johnson, Gwendolyn Newton, both of Tulsa, OK., Paulette Brown, Independence, KS., and Pam Lawrie, Wichita, KS., two uncles: Johnnie "JJ" Perry, Tulsa, OK., and Richard Martin, Independence, KS., a special friend who was like a brother, Alex Shaw, along with a host of cousins and other close relatives. Waiting to welcome him into his homecoming: his father, grandmothers Lovetta Perry, and Florene Bitson, grandfather Dan Bitson, great-grandparents: Maybell Anderson, Atlean Coats, Bernice and James Beard, Jr., and an uncle, Phillip Brown.

Services will be Friday January 7, 2010 at 11AM at Holy Family Cathedral located at 8th and Boulder in Downtown Tulsa.
