On February 24, 1953 a precious baby girl was born to the late Norman and Herman V. Alexander. She was the eldest of this union. To all of her friends and family she was affectionately known as "Jean".

Jean was very hardworking, loving and kind hearted and would give her last. Jean was born and raised in Covington, Tennessee.

Jean was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. In the early sixties, Jean's mother had a severe stroke which left her mother unable to care for herself. Late in 1968 Jean met and dated Andrew Clayborn. In September 1970 Jean gave birth to her one and only child a baby girl, CaTrina D. Alexander.

In the mid 70's, Jean, her mother, and daughter moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jean loved her family and friends and she enjoyed the times she had with them. She worked very hard to care for her mom and daughter, which she managed to do as a single mother.

Saint Francis Hospital is where Jean spent her last thirteen days on this earth. God needed another Angel, and Jean answered His call. Jean was strong and fought a good fight until the very end.

Jean is preceded in death by three sisters; Esther M. Alexander, Katherine Alexander, and Virgie M. Williams, and two brothers: Bland Hawkins and Cecil Alexander and a host of family and friends. Jean leaves her daughter, CaTrina Alexander (Tulsa), two sisters; Ella F. Alexander, Tulsa, Ok, and Debra Edwards (Adrian), Memphis, TN, one brother, Eugene Alexander (Ardeen), Spiro, OK, and one Grandson, Christopher Alexander (Ashley), Tulsa, OK, and a host of family and friends.
