Mrs. Norma J. Taylor, in her 75th season went from Labor, to Refreshment on Wednesday evening, August 14, 2013 in Okmulgee.

Norma grew up in the Grayson community, where she attended school. While she was growing into a young woman, she met a young man who was "smitten" by her beauty. This attraction grew into a courtship, which led to Holy Matrimony and her becoming Mrs. Son Taylor, Jr.

After completing high school, she joined her husband in El Paso, Texas, where he was stationed at Fort Bliss. Their loving union was blessed with two children, and after over his retirement from the Military, they returned to live in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Taylor was a loving wife, mother and friend. She loved family time with her children and also other members of the family, especially her siblings. She didn't hesitate to speak her mind or to share her opinion.

She was a homemaker during her lifetime, but loved gardening, planting flowers, sewing, collecting figurines and cooking.

Mrs. Taylor was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, serving in the Choir and the Ladies Auxillary Department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Lillian King, Janice Dalcour and Wiley King, as well as other loved ones who went on before her.
