Ollie James Doyle was born to the proud parents of Willie and LaFierce Doyle on April 5, 1938 in Yahola, Oklahoma. Also known as Sonny Doyle, he was the youngest boy of seven children.

He attended school in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He spent most of years working as a blue collar worker. Sonny met and married Ms. Lucille Nunn in 1960 and to this union six children were born. He accepted Christ at an early age and pursued a career as a gospel singer and traveled extensively across the United States with the Oklahoma Jubiless and the Church Rockers. Sonny was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church for a number of years. Later in life he joined Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jack Tottress. Sonny was a prayer warrior. He has blessed and touched many lives through song and prayer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, one brother and a daughter. Remaining to cherish her precious memories are: three sons, Ollie JR., Greg, and Mike, all of Tulsa, OK., two daughters Mary D. and Brandy, both of Tulsa, OK., 12 grandchildren, and a 2 great-grand children, one sister, 2 brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

On Tuesday October 30, 2007 with family by his side, he surrendered his soul to his Master in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Services for Mr. Doyle will be held Friday, November 9, 2007 at Good Samaritan Full Gospel Baptist Church at 11AM. Friends may visit Mr. Doyle as he slumbers in the All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa on Thursday from 10AM to 7PM.
