On July 25, 1925 in Rogersville, Alabama, Timothy and Sarah Watkins delivered a precious bundle of joy. That bundle of joy was a beautiful baby girl named Ollie Wishous Watkins. She met and married Mr. Martin Hammon, and to this loving union, 12 children were born. Affectionately called, "Mrs. Wishy," Mamma, and Grandma by many who knew her, she was loved by many and never met a stranger. She welcomed all into her home for meals, fun, and even a place to "lay their heads."

Mrs. Ollie "Wishy" Hammon received her calling, departing this life into eternity...on Tuesday March 27, 2012. Mrs. Wishy was preceded in death by her husband, Martin, 7 children: Timothy Hammon, Zelma O'neal, Marsha Gaines, David Hammon, Robert Hammon, Betty Littlejohn, and Carolyn Davis. Remaining to cherish her precious memories are her children: Bernard Hammon (Barbara), Martin Hammon, Jr. (Sharon), Sarah Fultz (Jamie), John Hammon (Rhonda), and Shanna McKnight (Carlos), along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday April 7, 2012 at 11AM at The St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church. Friends may visit her as she peacefully rests in The Chapel of Peace on Friday from 12Noon-6PM in Okmulgee.
