Airmen Scott was then transferred to Fort Worth, Texas where he met & married Billie Joann McCowan. To that union Cathy Scott & Donald LaRoy Scott Jr were born. While in St. Louis, he excepted his call to the ministry at Fifth Missionary Baptist Church under Doctor Clarence Duvall Sr. In 1969, he was ordained in another denomination. In 1978, he was appointed to St Luke's United Methodist Church, where he served for 4 years and then he continued his ministry at City of Faith Hospital, Seminole Bethel, Spencer Memorial, Quayle & The General Board of Global Ministries. In July 2001 he entered retirement status.
